Misr Al -Khair Foundation organized a round table under the title "proposed strategic directions to enhance the role of civil organizations in sustainable development and climate work", as part of the "project to enhance the roles of non -governmental organizations in sustainable development and climate work - funded by the European Union", in the presence of Representatives of government agencies, international organizations, research agencies and civil society experts
Muhammad Mamdouh Abdullah, Head of the Development of NGOs at the Misr Al-Khair Foundation, said this second round table comes as a continuation of community dialogue sessions with stakeholders from civil organizations and governmental and private sector officials in order to come up with the proposed strategic directions to enhance the role of NGOs in contributing to sustainable development and climate work based on the field study that was conducted and presented their results within the first meeting.
added that the aim of the meeting is to present a summary of the results of a study "ways to enhance the role of civil organizations in achieving sustainable development and climate work", presenting the main issues and challenges facing civil organizations in Egypt and analyzing the factors that contribute to these challenges, formulating strategic directions A proposal to enhance the role of civil organizations in contributing to sustainable development and climate work, with the aim of developing the institutional performance of civil organizations, participating in supporting national strategies concerned with sustainable development and climate work, supporting regional and international participation of civil organizations, and developing green voluntary initiatives.
