He added that the aim of the meeting was to present a summary of the results of the study “Methods of Strengthening the Role of NGOs in Achieving Sustainable Development and Climate Action,” present the main issues and challenges facing NGOs in Egypt, analyze the factors that contribute to these challenges, and formulate proposed strategic directions to enhance the role of NGOs in contributing to sustainable development and climate action, with the aim of developing the institutional performance of NGOs, participating in supporting national strategies concerned with sustainable development and climate action, and supporting regional participation. And international civil society organizations, and the development of green volunteer initiatives.
